Every day, three hundred and sixty-five days a year, a hot breakfast is served to about 200 people daily. Providing this vital service to the poor and needy of Baltimore costs $500.00 for each day’s breakfast. In order to help sustain this vital service, we have formed the Manna House Breakfast Club, inviting the faith community, businesses, and individuals to become members of the club by funding breakfast for one day per year. With the support of our community, we are convinced that the Club can support breakfast 365 days per year! In addition, we invite our Club members to come and see the breakfast being served or help serve it if they wish. Learn how to join the Breakfast Club.
365 days a year, we serve a nutritious, balanced meal to about 200 men, women, and children daily.
The Drop-In center enables people to become their own biggest advocate, through the successful completion of their goals. In addition to a hot breakfast, clients are able to receive a variety of services according to their current and short term needs.
Assisting the needy with the application for Temporary Cash Assistance, Temporary Disability Assistance Program, TCA, food stamps, and/or Medical Assistance through the use of Services Access Information Link (SAIL).
Manna House has teamed up with Healthcare for the Homeless. At this time, Healthcare for the Homeless comes to Manna House with their Mobile Clinic one time per week to serve the homeless and needy in the area.
75% of the people who eat in our soup kichen are homeless, living in cars, under bridges, parks, and in abandoned houses. We walk the needy through the process of obtaining safe and appropriate housing.
The needy are provided with clothes which have been donated to Manna House and sorted by volunteers. Hot showers with toiletries are available. These donations are donated largely by the community of faith and other giving volunteers.
